The Shine Soft Wheel Cleaner is ideal for regular maintenance of dirty and lightly soiled wheels. Its acid-free formula effectively removes brake dust, alumina particles, road film and everyday dirt, while respecting surfaces. Its lightly gelled texture reduces fumes and provides more comfortable cleaning during mechanical agitation, while also giving it better grip on your surfaces when sprayed.

Compatible with varnished, painted, satin or matte wheels, it instantly restores shine and cleanliness with no risk of dulling. For very dirty wheels, mechanical action may be necessary, or even the use of our Hard Wheel Cleaner.

It is ideal if you want to:

• clean lightly or moderately soiled wheels
• preserve the original appearance of the wheels
• save time during your washes with a product that is simple and effective to use

Despite its "Soft" positioning, this cleaner remains an effective, concentrated product. It should only be used on compatible wheels that are in good condition. If in doubt, it is recommended to carry out a test on a small, discreet area.

To guarantee an optimal result while preserving your wheels, it is important to carefully follow the application steps for the Shine Soft Wheel Cleaner. Here is the recommended method:

Spray onto cold wheels
Always start on a cold wheel in the shade. Spray the product evenly over the entire surface: the outer face, spokes, recesses and, if possible, the inside of the wheel. Good coverage guarantees an even, effective action.
Leave to work for 2 to 3 minutes
Let the product work for a few moments. Its alkaline formula will begin to lift off light brake dust, road film and everyday dirt. Never let the product dry: the action must take place on a wet surface for maximum effectiveness.
Carry out mechanical action to loosen the dirt
Using an XS wheel brush, a T1 wheel and tyre brush, a microfibre wheel brush or a detailing brush, scrub the surface to help detach the contaminants.
Rinse thoroughly with water
Once cleaning is complete, rinse the wheel generously, ideally with a hose or a high-pressure washer. Make sure to completely remove the product to avoid any residual marks.

For an optimal result, dry the surface using a blower dryer or a drying microfibre. You can then apply a Shine Wheel Protection to preserve the surface over time and make future cleaning easier.

What type of wheels can the Soft Wheel Cleaner be used on?

Answer: Yes, you can use it on aluminium wheels provided they are varnished or painted. This product is an alkaline solution with a pH of 13, which gives it great effectiveness on road film without using aggressive acids. However, this power calls for certain precautions:
• Compatible surfaces: It is perfectly safe for original (OEM) varnished aluminium wheels or wheels that have been repainted by a professional (body shop).
In the case of a recent paint job, make sure that the varnish is completely dry and cured (fully polymerised).
• Surfaces to avoid: Due to its high pH, use is strongly discouraged on bare (unfinished) aluminium, mirror-polished aluminium or anodised finishes (such as the famous Fuchs wheels). On these materials that are not protected by a varnish, an alkaline product can cause dulling or irreversible whitish marks.
• Precautions on damaged surfaces: If your wheels have chips in the varnish, deep scratches or signs of corrosion, the solution could seep under the protective layer. In this case, or if in doubt about the finish of your wheels, we recommend always carrying out a test on an inconspicuous area or opting for manual cleaning with our neutral shampoo.

Do you need to scrub?

Answer: Using a brush is not always essential; it mainly depends on how dirty your surfaces are.
Thanks to its powerful alkaline formula, the Soft Wheel Cleaner offers excellent touchless cleaning capability in certain scenarios:

• For regular maintenance: If you clean your vehicle every week and the brake dust is light, the product may be enough on its own. Spray, leave to work, then rinse with high pressure: the road film will come off effortlessly.

• For very dirty wheels: As soon as dirt has built up or brake dust has "baked" onto the varnish, mechanical action becomes necessary. In this case, we recommend using an XS wheel brush or a detailing brush to work the product in.

Why scrub? Scrubbing physically lifts off the embedded brake and carbon particles that chemistry alone cannot fully break down. For a professional result and a flawless finish in the smallest nooks (spokes, lug nut recesses), a quick pass with a brush remains the go-to method.
