Over time, automotive carpets and mats undergo significant wear linked to friction, dirt, moisture and UV. Even after a deep cleaning, some areas remain visually dull or faded. The Shine Automotive Carpet Dye was developed to address this issue precisely.

Its formula is designed to penetrate the textile fibres of the carpet in order to revive the shade and even out the entire surface. It does not create a thick layer on the surface and does not stiffen the material when applied correctly. The final result is visually cleaner, more uniform and closer to the original appearance.

Unlike a simple cleaner or reviver, this dye acts on the colour itself. It visually masks washed-out areas, differences in shade linked to wear as well as certain persistent marks. The dye can also be used to change the colour of a textile element.

This product is intended for those looking to restore their vehicle's interior at low cost, particularly before a resale or to extend the lifespan of the cabin. It requires methodical application and good preparation in order to obtain a uniform and durable result.

Vacuum the carpet thoroughly and clean the surface carefully using our Shine APC or a specific textile cleaner.
Let it dry completely before application.
Shake the bottle well before application.
Apply the dye on a clean, dry surface, evenly, in thin coats.
Spread the dye evenly using a soft brush for even penetration of the fibres.
Work zone by zone to avoid overloading.
Let it dry for at least 4 hours at room temperature before using the vehicle.
For a more intense black, a second coat can be applied after complete drying.
Once dry, vacuum the surface lightly to remove any excess.

N.B: Remember to properly protect the surrounding elements: this product can also dye or re-dye surfaces, so it must be used with caution. Always clean and degrease the carpet before application. Do not apply on a damp surface. Do not overload with product. It is essential to test on a discreet area before full application. Wear gloves and do not use on leather, plastics, alcantara or textiles not intended for this purpose.

Is this dye compatible with all automotive carpets?

The Shine Automotive Carpet Dye is compatible with most automotive textile carpets and mats. It is not intended for rubber mats, non-absorbent synthetic carpets or plasticised surfaces.

Does this dye make the carpet stiff or sticky?

No, when applied correctly in thin coats on a clean surface, the dye does not make the carpet stiff or sticky. An overload of product or an application on dirty carpet can, however, alter the result.

Is it a permanent solution?

It is a durable visual restoration, but not a structural repair. Mechanical wear, repeated friction and maintenance will have an impact over time. Regular maintenance and careful application help prolong the result.
