Over time, bodywork is exposed to hard water, mineral-laden rain and limescale deposits that can leave visible marks and dull the appearance of the vehicle. These residues are generally not removed by an ordinary or neutral shampoo.

The Shine Acid Shampoo was developed to meet this specific need. Its acid formulation effectively dissolves mineral deposits, water spots, limescale film and other inorganic residue present on the bodywork. After use, the surface regains a cleaner, sharper and more uniform appearance.

Due to its pH of 2, it should not be used for regular washing but rather as part of a complete detailing process. A wash with an alkaline shampoo is required after use. You can use our Bodywork Shampoo, our Dewaxing Degreasing Shampoo or our Gloss Finish Shampoo. Wearing gloves and goggles is mandatory.
This shampoo is particularly useful during decontamination phases, when resetting the bodywork or before applying a protection. It is not used as an everyday maintenance shampoo, but as an occasional tool to correct specific issues related to limescale and mineral marks.

Used correctly, the Shine Acid Shampoo improves the surface condition, facilitates the following steps and optimises the durability of protections applied afterwards.

Dilute your shampoo at a rate of 10ml per litre of water for hand washing and at a rate of 100ml for washing with a foam cannon.
Using a microfibre mitt or a microfibre sponge, scrub the parts of your vehicle from top to bottom.
Rinse your mitt regularly to avoid keeping contaminants on your wash mitt, and use a different mitt for cleaning your sills.
Rinse the washed parts thoroughly*.
*Remember to rinse your vehicle thoroughly after use; as the product dilutes in water it is no longer visible when you rinse, but the chemistry is still present on your vehicle. It is therefore important to take the rinsing step seriously for an optimal result.

Good to know: Can be used with a foam cannon or a bucket. Be careful not to over-dilute the product. It will not be any more effective for it; the recommended dilutions have been worked out to give you an effective and economical wash without risk. E.g.: in the case of chrome trims or shadow lines, too great a dilution could mark these often very delicate parts. Do not apply the product in direct sunlight.
