The Degreasing Dewaxing Shampoo is the hard shampoo in our range; it is highly effective against atmospheric agents in every season, as well as against salts during the winter period. As you will have understood, the Degreasing Dewaxing Shampoo is a very powerful detergent that will be the perfect ally for maintaining heavily soiled or contaminated vehicles.

Before applying a protection, the bodywork must be perfectly clean and free of residues. Waxes, old products, greasy films or leftover enriched shampoos can prevent proper adhesion and greatly reduce the durability of a protection.

The Shine Degreasing Dewaxing Shampoo was developed to meet this precise need. Its formula deep cleans the bodywork while effectively removing old wax layers, greasy residues and contaminants left by previously used products.

After washing, the surface is clean, crisp and completely neutral. This makes it easier to apply protections and improves how well they hold up over time. This shampoo is therefore ideal during the preparation phase, whether before a wax, a sealant or a ceramic protection, or when carrying out a complete reset of the bodywork.

This shampoo can also be used on wraps.

  1. Dilute your shampoo at 6ml per litre of water for hand washing, and at 100ml for washing with a foam cannon.
  2. Using a microfibre mitt or a microfibre sponge, scrub the elements of your vehicle from top to bottom for a hand wash. In the case of foam cannon use with a contactless rinse, rinse from the bottom up then rinse thoroughly from the top down.
  3. Rinse your mitt regularly to avoid keeping contaminants on your wash mitt, and use a different mitt for maintaining your sills.
  4. Rinse the washed elements thoroughly*.

    Recommended dilutions:

Bucket wash / 6ml per 1L of water.
Foam cannon / 100ml per 1L of water.

Good to know: Be careful not to over-dilute the product. It will not be any more effective; the recommended dilutions have been developed to give you an effective and economical wash without risk.
E.g.: in the case of chrome trim or shadow lines, too high a dilution could mark these often very fragile elements. Do not apply the product in direct sunlight.
*Remember to rinse your vehicle thoroughly after use; since the product dilutes in water it is no longer visible when rinsing, but the chemistry is still present on your vehicle, so it is important to take the rinsing step seriously.
For an optimal result, we recommend drying your vehicle with a drying microfibre.

If you wish to remove a good-quality professional ceramic, a single pass will not be enough. A shampoo, even with a very alkaline pH and strong degreasing power, will help you remove the sealant more quickly.

The only way to remove a good-quality PRO sealant remains a polishing step.

what you ask us most

Frequently asked questions

What is our degreasing dewaxing shampoo used for?

It decontaminates the vehicle, removing dirt, road contaminants, waxes, oils and residues present on the bodywork in order to obtain a clean surface, ready to receive a new protection or to maintain a heavily soiled vehicle.

Can it be used on an already protected vehicle?

No. This shampoo is designed to remove existing protections. It should therefore not be used for regular maintenance on a protected vehicle.

Can it damage the paint or clear coat?

No. Used correctly and in accordance with the guidelines, the Shine Degreasing Dewaxing Shampoo deep cleans without damaging the paint or the clear coat.
In the case of damaged or dull paint, or vehicles with a ceramic, wax, quick detailer (QD) or other type of protection, we always recommend using a neutral shampoo.
Our range of bodywork shampoos, whether gloss or degreasing, sits within a pH range of between 11 and 13. These are therefore effective alkaline products, but ones to be used with care.
